How long does interlock last, and will it settle?
Interlock lasts decades when the base is right. Settling happens when a crew skips the prep and lays stone on thin gravel, so we excavate to depth, compact a proper base in lifts, and screed the bedding flat. Done that way the surface stays level, and any stone that ever shifts can be lifted and reset without tearing out the whole patio.
When is the best season for the work?
Interlock, walls, and grading run spring through fall. Sod goes down best in spring or early fall when it roots before the heat or the frost. Snow removal and seasonal maintenance run through the winter. We book the build for the right window and line up the rest around it.
How do you handle drainage and grading?
We set the grade so water runs away from the house and off the hard surfaces instead of pooling against the foundation or freezing in a low spot. On patios and walkways the base is pitched to drain, and retaining walls get gravel backfill and weeping behind them so pressure does not build up.
Do you handle ongoing maintenance?
Yes. We do lawn care, garden bed upkeep, seasonal cleanups, and snow removal, so the same crew that built the yard can keep it up year round. You can book it as a one-off or as a regular schedule.
